N=17 Selective Harmonic Elimination Pulse Table for Online Double-Conversion UPS — 16-Harmonic Deterministic Elimination, Simulink Hardware Validated
收藏资源简介:
This record documents the validation report for a production-ready N=17 Selective Harmonic Elimination (SHE) pulse table developed for online double-conversion UPS inverter applications using a 2-level Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) topology. The pulse table eliminates 16 non-triplen odd harmonics — H5, H7, H11, H13, H17, H19, H23, H25, H29, H31, H35, H37, H41, H43, H47, H49 — to mathematical zero across a continuous operating envelope of M = 0.800 to 0.879 (80 operating points at 0.001 resolution). Every targeted harmonic is verified at 0.0000% of fundamental. All non-targeted harmonics are confirmed below the IEEE 519-2022 5% individual harmonic limit at every operating point. The LUT was generated using SHE Designer, a proprietary deterministic SHE solver developed by New Leaf Tools LLC. Unlike Newton-Raphson or metaheuristic approaches (PSO, genetic algorithms) which find a single local solution, SHE Designer exhaustively enumerates the complete solution space, certifies every solution against a 5-point hardware protocol, and selects the global optimum for a specified physical objective. N=17 solves in 8 milliseconds. The complete VFD sweep of 951 operating points certifies in approximately 3 minutes. Hardware validation was performed in MATLAB/Simulink R2024+ using a hardware-equivalent model: 2-level VSI, 400V DC bus, 3.0 µs dead-time, series RL load (R=5Ω, L=20mH), ODE4 fixed-step solver at 1 µs timestep, 40 electrical cycles, FFT extracted from cycles 20–28 (steady-state). Simulation result: PASS. Worst targeted harmonic in simulation: H49 = 0.261%. Current symmetry: ±26.84A (0.00A peak asymmetry). Key performance parameters: Maximum point-to-point angle transition: 0.1159 degrees Minimum switching gap (dead-time margin): 22.5 µs at 60 Hz — 15× IGBT requirement Zero angle ordering violations across all 80 operating points Zero gap violations across all 80 operating points Output format: CSV (degrees, radians, sign pattern) — FPGA-ready at 100 MHz Runtime computation required: none (pure table lookup) This report is published to establish an independently citable record of the validation methodology and results. The switching angle table itself is proprietary and is available through New Leaf Tools LLC for licensed commercial and research applications.Selective Harmonic Elimination has existed as a theoretical framework since 1973. For four decades the solver problem remained unsolved at an industrial level — existing methods find a single solution per operating point with no proof of optimality and no certified hardware output. SHE Designer represents the first complete solution to the SHE problem: the entire solution space from M = 0.001 to 1.0 is enumerated exhaustively, every solution is independently certified, and the global optimum is selected for a specified physical objective. Beyond harmonic elimination, SHE Designer exploits the remaining degrees of freedom to optimize secondary physical properties that standard solvers never access: flux trajectory circularity (minimizing iron losses in transformers and motor cores), DC bus capacitor ripple current (extending capacitor service life), torque ripple index (reducing mechanical vibration), and motor current quality (WTHD). The N=17 UPS LUT documented in this report is one example output. The same solver produces certified LUTs for any grid-tied topology, any harmonic target set, and any elimination level through N=21.
