This record comprises statistical information in relation to numbers employed on hard labour, on gaol duties, on the station, and unemployed. It includes the nature of the work performed. It includes also numbers for those received and discharged. Information ceased to be recorded after August 1892. Recording recommenced in May 1940 and continued until 1952. It is unknown which agency recorded the information for the latter period.
