The study involves the comparative analysis of changes in miRNA expression in Human cell line infected with visceral Leishmaniasis and Post-kala azar dermal leishmaniasis. The result suggested that the involvement of differentiallyexpressed miRNAs in various biological processes like PI3K pathway activation, cell cycleregulation, immunomodulation, apoptosis inhibition, different cytokine production, and T-cell phenotypic transitions calcium regulation.
