First level controls – Civil Protection – Piedmont Region

The dataset is related to the Regional Civil Protection Units of the Piedmont Region in which the resources, materials and means of Civil Protection are allocated.The Department of Civil Protection and Bosch Fire Protection System (A.I.B.) of the Piedmont Region has a series of logistic and operational offices located in the regional territory, referred to as Regional Headquarters of 1st level and identified as storage sites for the vehicles and materials forming part of the Regional Mobile Civil Protection Column, managed by the Boschivi Civil Protection and Fire Protection Sector (A.I.B.) with the operational/administrative support of the Civil Protection Volunteer.The 1st level presidencies currently active are the following:- Regional Presidium of Druento (TO)- Regional Presidium of S. Michele (AL)- Regional Presidium of Vercelli- Regional Presidium of Fossano (CN)- Regional Presidium of VerbaniaEvery headquarters is characterised mainly by a logistics section characterised by more or less extensive warehouse premises, from garages/workshop premises, from external manoeuvre areas, and from a section dedicated to a command and control centre (office/operating room) with a configuration in some cases similar functionally to the premises related to the headquarters of C.so Marche in Turin.The instrumental resources in storage at the Presidi, which make up the standard modules of the Regional Mobile Column, are attributable mainly to the following types:1. Materials:- materials for setting up reception areas (curtains, beds, field kitchens, mobile toilets)- energy production and lighting equipment (generating sets, light towers, lighting balloons)- materials for specialised hydraulic risk kits (containing barriers, pumping equipment, sand bagpers)- water treatment systems (mobile potabilisers)- office and housing/social modules2. Vehicles – passenger cars – light off-road vehicles (pick ups, cabs)- heavy off-road vehicles (4x4 trucks with cranes and boxes)- long-distance vehicles (articulated vehicles, trailers)- lifting vehicles (telescopic lifters, electric and diesel forklifts)- earthmoving machines (tracked poles, mini excavators)In some of the Presidium sites, resources owned by Volunteer Coordination are also stored, a part of the emergency materials owned by the Piedmont Region is also stored at the headquarters of the Centro Assistenziale e Pronto Intervento (C.A.P.I.) of Novi Ligure (AL), headquarter managed by the Prefecture/U.T.G. of Alessandria, with regard mainly to tents for assistance to the population and the effects of letters.
