16S rRNA sequencing of soil DNA from two silvopastoral systems and a native forest fragment in Western Amazon (July, 2022)

The aim of this study was to assess soil health in integrated livestock-forestry systems (ILFSs) with Eucalyptus pellita and Samanea tubulosa. Soil chemical and physical attributes were combined with soil microbial community diversity and functional analyses through NGS to test the hypothesis that ILFSs promote soil health, especially when adopting a native tree species. A native forest fragment was used for comparison.
