Average per capita transfer amount in beneficiary households per day

Average per capita transfer among program beneficiaries (daily, 2021 PPP) is the mean daily value of transfers per person across all members of households that receive transfers, expressed in 2021 purchasing power parity dollars. All household members—recipients or not—are counted as beneficiaries. For each household, the per capita transfer is calculated as total transfers received divided by household size; the indicator for any group (e.g., program type; entire population; or welfare quintiles based on pre- or post-transfer welfare) is then computed as the sum of transfers received by households in that group divided by the total number of household members in those households. Program types follow the ASPIRE classification (social assistance, social insurance, labor market), and the “all SPL programs” total sums across these categories.
