The effector cells are polyclonal B. burgdorferi-specific cell lines. In another assay, a clone obtained by limiting dilution recognized this 20 mer peptide and another overlapping by 10 mer, suggesting that the epitope recognized was DLSKTTFEIFK. Another clone recognized only the 20-mer peptide (SKVKLTISDDLGQTTLEVFK), suggesting that ther may be at 2 epitopes within this peptide.
