Diversity and community structure of wood-inhabiting bacterial in boreal peat forest

we applied 16S rRNA gene pyrosequencing (454) for both taxonomic and phylogenetic analysis of the bacterial community of Norway spruce wood (Picea abies) in boreal forest soils to ) to assess the primary bacteria population colonizing the wood material entering the soil, 2) to evaluate the shifts in community composition of wood-inhabiting bacteria in different type of forest soil, 3) to determine whether the variations in soil bacterial community composition influence the wood-inhabiting bacterial structure.
