资源简介:
Relations between Taiwan and Switzerland resemble those of other Western countries that maintain diplomatic ties with China, characterized by a form of pragmatic diplomacy in the absence of formal recognition. Switzerland, adhering strictly to the One-China policy, does not recognize Taiwan as a sovereign state.1 Yet, despite the lack of official diplomatic ties, they have cultivated diverse forms of cooperation spanning trade, innovation, education, and cultural exchange. Indeed, over the past decade, Taiwan’s rising global profile, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing, public health, democratic resilience, and stable, open supply chains, has heightened international interest in deeper engagement. Switzerland’s tradition of neutrality has led it to adopt a cautious approach, maintaining relations with Taiwan at a minimal yet functional level.
