This FAIRsharing record describes: The 4DN-BINA-OME (NBO) Microscopy Metadata Specifications was developed as part of a global community initiative including the 4D Nucleome Imaging Working Group, BINA Quality Control and Data Management Working Group and QUAREP-LiMi. The 4DN-BINA-OME-QUAREP (NBO-Q) Microscopy Metadata specifications were published by the 4D Nucleome (4DN) initiative Imaging Standards Working Group, the BioImaging North America (BINA) Quality Control and Data Management Working Group (QC-DM-WG) to extend the Open Microscopy Environment (OME) Data Model. NBO-Q specifications were recently adopted by Quality Assessment and Reproducibility for Instrument and Images in Light Microscopy (QUAREP-LiMi). The NBO metadata standard specification captures critical information such as microscope hardware specifications, image acquisition settings, and calibration procedures and metrics.
