Barnacle represents a group of unique crustaceans that have calcareous shells and a sessile life style, which was different from other crustaceans but similar to most molluscs. Genetics underlying these similarities may be convergent evolved in their genomes, but it is rarely investigated. Herein, we reported a high-quality chromosomal-level genome assembly of a stalk barnacle, Capitulum mitella.
