As part of our study, we sorted CD11b+ cells (microglia) from the brain. To assess the purity of the sorted cells, we performed RNA-seq on them. As a relative comparison, we also performed RNA-seq on whole brain homogenate. Overall design: 400,000 CD11b+ cells (microglia) from the mouse brain were sorted and subjected to preparation for RNA-seq. Hemi brains were also subjected to preparation for RNA-seq. All samples were obtained from young male C57BL/6 mice.
