Abundance estimates and lengths of Phyllosoma larvae collected in the northern Gulf of Mexico, cruise PTS01, October-November 2015

Depth-discrete plankton samples were collected during a cruise in the northern Gulf of Mexico (October-November 2015) using a Bedford Institute of Oceanography Net Environmental Sampling System (BIONESS). The BIONESS (0.25 m2 opening) was fitted with 333-µm and 202-µm mesh nets; phyllosoma counts included here were only from the 333-µm mesh nets. Plankton samples were collected along three sampling corridors as part the CONCORDE project, and were used to confirm Phyllosoma identifications from ISIIS image analyses.2015年10月至11月，科研人员在墨西哥湾北部的科考航次中，采用贝德福德海洋研究所网环境采样系统（BIONESS）采集了分层浮游生物样本。该采样器开口面积为0.25平方米，配备孔径分别为333微米和202微米的网具；本次纳入统计的叶状幼体（phyllosoma）数量仅来自333微米孔径网具采集的样本。作为CONCORDE项目的一部分，本次采集的浮游生物样本沿三条采样廊道获取，被用于验证通过ISIIS图像分析得到的叶状幼体鉴定结果。
