Petrie Creek, Rosemount (SE Qld) - Community and Landowners Revegetation Project

This project will revegetate a 1 km length of the riparian zone along Petrie Creek at Rosemount (on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast), to reduce creek bank erosion. Bunya Bunya Aboriginal Corporation will work with the Petrie Catchment Care Group, Florabunda Bushcare Nursery and landholders to fence and revegetate a 10 to 20 metre wide corridor along the creek. This will exclude stock from the creek and contribute towards linking the area to nearby established corridors to the south east of the project site.

本项目将对昆士兰州阳光海岸罗斯芒特（Rosemount）区域内佩特里溪（Petrie Creek）沿岸1公里长的河岸带（riparian zone）开展植被修复工作，以降低溪岸侵蚀风险。布尼亚布尼亚原住民社团（Bunya Bunya Aboriginal Corporation）将协同佩特里流域护理小组（Petrie Catchment Care Group）、弗洛拉班达丛林保育苗圃（Florabunda Bushcare Nursery）以及土地所有者，在溪流沿线搭建防护围栏并打造宽度为10至20米的生态廊道（corridor）。该举措既可实现溪流区域的牲畜禁入，又能助力将本项目区域与场地东南部已建成的周边生态廊道实现连通。
