Intestinal microbiome composition of obese patients with type two diabetes (diabesity) can contribute to disease genesis and progression. Probiotic modulation can be beneficial for these patients. Aim of this randomized, double-blind, placebocontrolled pilot trial was to track changes in the intestinal microbiome (assessed in stool samples) during intervention.
