Mechanisms of species-people relationships in place attachment

This dataset contains anonymised survey responses examining people’s connections to place and species at The Neck on Bruny Island, Tasmania. The survey includes measures of place attachment and species-related person–process–place dimensions, with a focus on fairy penguins (Eudyptula minor) and short-tailed shearwaters (Ardenna tenuirostris). Data were collected from 95 participants and include composite and item-level responses used in quantitative analyses of species–place relationships. All data are de-identified and were collected with informed consent under approved ethical protocols (HREC29693).
