Qantas total revenue in Australia FY 2015-2023

In financial year 2023, Australia’s flag carrying airline, Qantas, recognized total revenue of 19.82 billion Australian dollars. This marked a significant increase from the previous financial year. Passengers and competition    In the 2021 financial year, Qantas carried around 15.87 million passengers in total across 29.37 billion available seat kilometers. This represents a significant year-on-year decrease in both cases. Qantas’ nearest competitor, Virgin Australia, carried 25.5 million passengers over 51.2 billion available seat kilometers and recognized total revenue in the 2019 financial year of 5.83 billion Australian dollars. Customer satisfaction    Both Qantas and Virgin Australia achieved good customer satisfaction scores from international customers in a 2019 survey; 80 percent of Qantas customers said they were satisfied, and 77 percent of Virgin Australia customers said they were happy. In the same survey, 87 percent of Singapore Airlines customers also said they were satisfied. From domestic customers, both airlines topped survey results; 84 percent of Qantas customers and 80 percent of Virgin Australia customers stated their satisfaction with the airlines.
