Effects of TERRA transcription inhibition on gene expression profiles in U2OS cells

We have developed Transcription Activator-Like Effectors able to rapidly inhibit TERRA transcription from multiple chromosome ends in U2OS cells (T-TALEs). T-TALE expression decreases marks of DNA replication stress and DNA damage at telomeres and impairs ALT activity and telomere length maintenance. T-TALE expression also alter the transcription profile of cells in a TERRA-dependent manner.
