Sea cucumber aquaculture water Raw sequence reads

This dataset includes water samples collected from a sea cucumber aquaculture farm in China, with two different treatment groups aimed at evaluating the efficacy of two approaches for controlling Vibrio splendidus-induced disease in sea cucumbers. The samples were collected in May 2024 to compare the microbial community dynamics in the water under each treatment condition. The study focuses on understanding how different disease control strategies affect the aquaculture environment, particularly the microbial populations that play a role in disease suppression. Environmental parameters, including temperature, salinity, and oxygen levels, were monitored during the sampling process to correlate microbial activity with aquaculture conditions. These data will contribute to improving disease management strategies in sea cucumber farming and enhance the sustainability of aquaculture practices.
