FINDER Model Input and Output Files for Evaluating Utility-Owned Rooftop Solar

Berkeley Lab’s FINancial impacts of Distributed Energy Resources (FINDER) model was developed to evaluate the effects of distributed energy resources (DERs) on utility shareholders and ratepayers under varying regulatory and market conditions. Included here are a set of input files and model outputs evaluating a range of scenarios for a utility-ownership business model for residential rooftop solar. Each scenario has its own input file, which is read directly by the FINDER model. These input files are compressed into the the "Input_Files.zip" file. Model outputs for all scenarios are in the workbook "Model_Outputs_and_Figures.xlsx", which also includes a set of summary charts and intermediate calculations that derive the summary statistics presented in those charts. The file "Index.xlsx" lists the full set of study cases, with ID numbers identifying the associated input file and output worksheet.
