Application of focused ultrasound for genomic DNA extraction in Plant Tissue

We sequenced replicate leaf samples of a single American chestnut (Castanea dentata) tree to evaluate the utility of focused ultrasound to disrupt leaf tissue prior to gDNA purification. These samples were processed through a genotyping-by-sequencing workflow to assess if there are any differences in sequence coverage or variant discovery compared with conventional extraction.
