Breakdown Strength of Silicone Elastomers under AC and Harmonic Distorted Voltages

The files "Breakdown_data_50Hz_KSV.xlsx" and "Breakdown_data_50Hz_SSV.xlsx" contain the measured data on the breakdown voltage and the corresponding breakdown strength of silicone samples under AC voltages. The measurements were obtained under two different types of voltage stress: a constant stress test (KSV) and a linear voltage increment test (SSV) The third file "Breakdown_data_harmonics_steptest.xlsx" contains measured data obtained under a harmonic distorted voltage (AC+AC), where a 50 Hz voltage is superimposed with the fifth harmonic order (250 Hz). The tests are conducted using a stepwise voltage increase after a defined dwell time (step test).
