Set of bacteria resistant to antibiotics isolated from the Ozama River in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Genome sequencing and assembly
收藏资源简介:
This study analyzed water samples from 3 different points along the Ozama River in the Dominican Republic. The Ozama River is one of the main hydrographic basins of the Dominican Republic with 2,847.15 km2, covering the provinces of Monte Plata and Santo Domingo, discharging its waters into the Caribbean Sea. The river's influence area has a population density of approximately 3.8 million (15, 16). Since the colonization era, the Ozama River has been one of the most important rivers of the Dominican Republic. 7 of the clinically relevant isolates obtained from the different sites in the Ozama river were selected to be sequenced using Illumina NovaSeq 600 using the PE 150 strategy. The principal genera sequenced were Klebsiella, Escherichia, and Acinetobacter, which allowed us to study the resistance mechanisms presented by the bacteria present in this important river.
