As part of the GROW.UP project | Growing Up in Portugal's Border Regions: Young People, Educational Pathways, and Agendas (PTDC/CED-EDG/29943/2017), a questionnaire was administered to young people in the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades in schools/school clusters in the border regions of mainland Portugal. All the questionnaires were administered in person and answered by 3968 young people. This questionnaire was approved by the Ministry of Education - Monitoring of School Surveys (MIME) and includes nine groups of multiple-choice and open questions. The questionnaire focuses on young people's perspectives on growing up in border regions. It explores three key dimensions: the resilience of young people and their contexts (school, community), the sense of belonging to both school and region; and participation in school and community activities. Additionally, it gathers sociodemographic details and young people's expectations concerning their future paths after completing compulsory schooling.
