资源简介:
JMA conducted National Register eligibility studies of three Corps-owned breakwaters in Lake Champlain: Rouses Point (New York), Gordon’s Landing (Vermont), and Swanton Harbor (Vermont).
The investigation consisted of background research, field investigations, and significance evaluations. Background research was conducted at a variety of universities, historical societies, archives, and websites. Field investigations consisted of visual inspection of the above surface components of the breakwaters, and subsurface inspections with sonar and a remotely operated vehicle. JMA recommended all three breakwaters eligible for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), and presented these recommendations in the form of NRHP nomination forms.
