This dataset covers analytical information on thickness-dependent laser photothermal effects in rare-earth metal oxide thin films used for contamination control. It includes data on the determination of properties such as transmittance, optical constants and surface roughness of neodymium oxide thin film, as well as data on the photothermal properties of different thicknesses of neodymium oxide contamination thicknesses simulatively calculated and experimentally tested under high-power laser irradiation.
