Construction: extensions of buildings for residential use

The dataset has the characteristics of extensions of existing buildings. Extension means the further construction, vertically or horizontally, on a pre-existing building, with an expansion of the same volume. Data are presented from 2011 onwards, by district and municipality (former decentralisation zone). The characteristics described are the presence or not of elevation, the surface area and the volume of the extension; number of houses, rooms, accessory rooms and useful area of the extension only (in case of extension with new dwellings, acronym CNA); rooms, accessory rooms and useful area of the extension only (in case of extension without new dwellings, acronym SNA, i.e. new rooms in pre-existing dwellings); area of extension for external services to dwellings and non-residential area of the extension intended for productive activities and services. It is also stated whether the holder of the permit is a natural or legal person. This dataset has been issued by the City of Milan.
