Dataset examines the developmental abnormalities of DWH mousse and Corexit in a dispersant dose response experimental design. This study shows that Corexit elicited no added developmental toxicity as compared to controls (no Corexit: no mousse). The mousse on the other hand clearly elicited developmental toxicity in embryos exposed to mousse both by direct contact and non-contact exposures. Direct contact exposures as found with substrate breeding fishes was more effective in eliciting developmental toxicity from DWH mousse than non-contact waterborne exposures. This direct contact response was a largely independent of Corexit concentration except at the highest Corexit concentration. Corexit on the other hand influenced the incidence of abnormalities for non-contact exposures.
