Purpose and Use: This data was created to provide citizens and visitors the ability to locate the parks in the city of San Marcos. It is intended to give users the ability to find and explore the natural areas and city parks around the city of San Marcos. Data Source: The data is collected and maintained by the City of San Marcos. Contact: Parks and Recreation: ParksInfo@sanmarcostx.gov Geographic Information Systems (GIS): gisinfo@sanmarcostx.gov Update Frequency: As needed. Jurisdiction: City of San Marcos Field Descriptions: ACRES - Contains the acreage of the natural area or city park. NEIGHBORHO - Boolean field to notate if a park is a neighborhood park or not. PARKTYPE - Describes the type of area that the park is. DEDICATION - Describes the dedication status or how the area was dedicated. DEDICATEDP - Boolean field to notate if the park has been dedicated or not. NAME - Contains the name of the park. ADDRESS - Contains the address of the park. STATUS - Describes the open/closed status of the park. HrsOper - Contains the hours of operation of the park. Developed - Boolean field to notate if the park has been developed or not.
