Wide Band National Plan

The national broadband plan — aimed at bringing connectivity from 2 to 20 mbps to all citizens — is being completed. It affected more than 8 million Italians who were in a digital divide in 2008, i.e. they were not covered by the basic connectivity service. The Plan saw the involvement of almost all the Italian regions that also contributed financially to the completion of the same. The resources used in the plan were different in nature: national and regional Europeans (ERDF and EAFRD).
