Map of wind energy potential

The main datasets used in making the map are wind speed measurements (m/s), taken at the meteorological stations in the National Meteorological Administration network at a height of 10 m above the ground, in the period 1961-2013, but also the information obtained from the processing of Climate Forecast System reanalysis data (CFS-https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/data-access/model-data/model-datasets/climate-forecast-system-version2-cfsv2). The maps are obtained using the Regression Kriging interpolation method, using which, in the spatialisation procedure, along with the wind speed data recorded at the level of the meteorological stations, the information extracted from the CFS product is also used. Interpolated data is stored in GeoTiff files at a spatial resolution of 1kmx1km in Stereographic coordinate system 1970.
