August 2021 Audioset from Scripps Coastal Reserve
In August 2021, members of the Automated Acoustic Species Identification team in the Engineers for Exploration lab at UC San Diego collected over three hundred hours of audio data using Audiomoth recorders from the Scripps Coastal Reserve. The Audiomoths were set to record one minute every ten minutes at a 384 kilohertz sampling rate from August 10th - August 24th. The purpose is to track local fauna such as the endangered California Gnatcatcher as well as test out open-source bioacoustics-focused software that they are developing known as PyHa and Pyrenote.
