Screening of ethylene responsive genes from rose flowers

We obtained 286,407 high quality ESTs with an average length of 201 bp from rose flowers by 454 massive parallel pyro-sequencing. We then obtained a total of 60,944 unigenes with an average length of 302.1 bp, including 27,220 contigs and 33,724 singletons. BLAST analysis indicates that 33,763 (55.4%) unigenes can be assigned a putative function according to the public databases, but 27,181 unigenes can not.
