Since 1994 a programme of continuous monitoring of the health of forests, called “Regional Forest Plant Inventory” (BAUSINVE) has been active in the region. It aims to detect damage and decay of forests caused by biotic agents (e.g. fungi, insects, mammals) and adverse weather events (e.g. air trumpets, hail, frost).Pytosanitary surveillance in woods and wood plants is carried out by Regional Forest Corps personnel.
