资源简介:

This dataset is a measurement product dataset (Level 3). It comprises aircraft-based precipitation estimates of an Arctic warm air intrusion, derived from the Level-2 airborne dataset of the Unified Airborne Active and Passive Microwave Measurements over Arctic Sea Ice and Ocean during the HALO-(AC)³ Campaign in Spring 2022 (https://doi.org/10.1594/PANGAEA.974108), for research flight RF03 (13 March 2022). Precipitation estimates were obtained from the unified radar reflectivity and linear depolarisation data following Dorff et al. (2025; https://doi.org/10.5194/acp-25-8329-2025). First, the precipitation phase was derived using a LDR bright-band detection algorithm to identify potential melting layers. For the correspondingly derived precipitation phases, a set of reflectivity-to-rain (Z-R) and reflectivity-to-snow (Z-S) relationships was applied to cover the uncertainty range of precipitation rate estimates.Figure 1 shows the derived precipitation estimates for a representative scene within the moisture intrusion, including radar reflectivity (Fig. 1a), the linear depolarisation ratio and detected melting layer (Fig. 1b), and the resulting precipitation rates for the respective precipitation phases (Fig. 1c).
