Analysis of gene expression patterns tracking increasing metastatic potential of different clones from colon cancer CC14 primary culture

In order to find genes the expression of which follows the metastatic potential of different clonal cultures from the colon cancer heterogeneous CC14 primary culture. Each of the clonal culture has a different and defined metastatic potential as tested by transfilter assay. Overall design: Total RNA from each clonal culture extracted using TRIzol Reagent (Ambion) following the manufacturer's protocol. Each condition was independently processed in triplicates and the libraries were prepared using Illimina TruSeq protocols. The samples were sequenced on a HiSeq Illumina 4000 machine with 50bp reads followed by standard analyses.
