资源简介:
Data come from a national level YouGov survey conducted between July 12 and 17, 2023. Respondents (N = 800) were matched and weighted to approximate a national US adult population based on age, gender, race, education, region, and voting behavior. All analyses use the provided weights. The purpose of this data was to examine support for a Universal Second Look Act, which was previously proposed by the DC City Council. The first experiment examines support for the Second Look Act based on age at offense, seeking to understand if support was universal or age-graded (N = 800). The second experiment examines specific support for second looks based on petitioner profiles with eight dimensions randomly assigned (age at crime, sex, race, crime, family background, in-prison programs, statement from prison warden, statement from victim or victim's family), with respondents viewing and evaluating three profiles each (N = 2400). All analyses were conducted in R.
