资源简介:
Samples from various features at Site 42SA22318 were examined for pollen
and macrofloral remains. In addition, soil from a small check dam at 42SA22396
was analyzed for pollen. Site 42SA22318 was a multicomponent site with dates
ranging from 1070 + 50 BP to 300 + 50 BP, suggesting Pueblo II and Protohistoric (Navajo) occupations. A limited number of sherds from 42SA22396, and the presence of all manufacturing hoe stages, indicates an Anasazi utilization of the site, particularly during the Pueblo II/III period. Pollen and macrofloral
analyses are used to provide information concerning plants processed at
42SA22318, and pollen analysis at 42SA22396 examines a small check dam for
evidence of agriculture.
