Global Urban Green Space Dataset

This dataset is based on 10-meter resolution global satellite vegetation imagery and 100-meter resolution population data from 2020. It aims to assess the population-weighted green space exposure index across various administrative levels, such as countries, states, provinces, and cities. By integrating high-resolution green space coverage with population distribution data, researchers can quantify the actual degree of human contact with green spaces and reveal spatial disparities and inequalities in green space exposure globally. The construction of this dataset contributes to a deeper understanding of human exposure to green spaces worldwide and provides scientific evidence for urban planning and public health policy development. Additionally, the dataset accounts for seasonal variation, analyzing differences in green space exposure across seasons, thus enriching insights into the dynamic characteristics of green space exposure.
