Transcriptomic alteration of Penaeus vannamei

Pacific white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) has high commercial value as food resource and accounts for major part of aquaculture in marine environment. Analyzing RNA extracted from hepatopancreas of P. vannamei, the biological changes of P. vannamei under transcriptional level can be verified and provide clues to figure out the toxicity mechanism induced by various toxicants or stressful condition. This project aimed to accumulate biological data of P. vannamei exposed to contaminants such as microplastics to understand biological impacts under transcriptional level.
