Replication Data and Code for "Trade Secret Protection and Cultivation of SRDI Enterprises"

This dataset contains the replication data and Stata code for the research paper titled "Trade Secret Protection and Cultivation of SRDI Enterprises". Based on the quasi-natural experiment of the trade secret protection innovation pilot initiated by the State Administration for Market Regulation in 2022, this study investigates the impact of the trade secret protection regime on the cultivation of "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative" (SRDI) enterprises in Chinese cities.The dataset includes:Final Data (最终数据.dta): A processed city-level panel dataset containing the dependent variable (SRDI enterprise cultivation performance), the core independent variable (DID indicators), and control variables such as economic development, industrial structure, human capital, and infrastructure.Stata Do-file (商业秘密专精特新.do): The complete Stata script for data cleaning, baseline regression, parallel trend tests, robustness checks (e.g., placebo tests), mechanism analysis, and heterogeneity analysis.This dataset supports the replication of the empirical results presented in the paper and provides a reference for future research in related fields.
