Digital orthophotographs in color of urban centers of Andalusia (2003-2008)

The Urban Orthophotographies of Andalusia (OUA), elaborated from different dates of photogrammetric flights (between 2003 and 2008), were conceived with the purpose of helping in the urban planning of urban centers of small population size. The main objective of these urban orthophotographies was to offer raster and vector cartographies of great precision and resolution, in order to facilitate these municipalities the elaboration of their General Urban Planning Plans (PGOU). The production of these orthophotographs began at the request of the municipalities themselves. Subsequently, the IECA saw the need to disseminate and extend this geographical information as much as possible within the public administration and among the general public. The Urban Orthophotographs of Andalusia provide information on the territory corresponding to the flight date to a large number of projects in different fields and applications. The main reason for its production was to provide municipalities with scarce economic resources with an orthophotographic coating of the different population centers present in their municipality, thus favoring an adequate management and territorial planning of the municipality (territorial planning, urban planning, civil works, cadastre, planning of services,...)
