This inscription located in the cathedral of Sigüenza (Spain) says:
Aqui delante esta sepultado Juan de Villel, Canónigo que fue de esta Santa Iglesia cuarenta años. Falleció a 17 de agosto 1556, donde se han de decir los responsos de la festividad de San Ildefonso y de las 12 misas perpetuas que dotó en esta Iglesia.
