Sidewalk Access Centerline

Sidewalk level of access as designated along street centerlines. Each street is broken down into segments based on whether that portion of road has sidewalks on both sides of the street, one side, or no access to sidewalks. The segments do not follow the traditional street centerline drawing methods, but instead, are designed for analyzing sidewalk networks. This layer can be used to visualize sidewalk connectivity in the system or targeted study of specific roads and gap fill projects. This layer also differs from typical sidewalk inventory by not drawing the physical location of the sidewalk asset, instead, road segments have the attribute of sidewalk level of service. This dataset is used to identify sidewalk gaps, target infill projects, and estimate costs. It was originally digitized by aerial imagery in mid-2016 with ongoing maintenance planned. This layer also has a field showing if the segment is on the Sidewalk Master Plan.
