Extreme enriched and heterogeneous 87Sr/86Sr ratios recorded in magmatic plagioclase from the Samoan hotspot

A multi-collector laser ablation ICP-MS method was used to measure Sr isotopes in plagioclase. A split-stream method was employed to measure trace elements on the same spots. The goal was to evaluate whether Samoan lavas with extreme Sr radiogenic isotopic compositions host plagioclase with even more extreme compositions. The data show even more extreme radiogenic Sr isotopic compositions in extreme Samoan EM2 lavas than identified in the whole rock lavas.采用多接收器激光剥蚀电感耦合等离子体质谱（multi-collector laser ablation ICP-MS）法对斜长石中的Sr同位素进行测试。同时采用分流法对同一微区开展微量元素分析。本研究旨在探究具有极端Sr放射成因同位素组成的萨摩亚熔岩中，其所赋存的斜长石是否具备更为极端的同位素组成。测试数据表明，极端萨摩亚富集地幔端元2（EM2）熔岩中的斜长石，其放射成因Sr同位素组成相较于全岩熔岩中已测得的结果更为极端。
