Develpment of a diversity panel for tetraploid wheat which include wild emmer wheat from across its distribution ranges, domesticated emmer wheat, durum landraces and durum varieties.

The history of domesticated tetraploid wheat has been studied extensively for many decades, yet key questions in the evolutionary history of this crop remain elusive. To elucidate the evolutionary trajectory of tetraploid wheat, we sequenced a tetraploid wheat core collection representing different groups along the crop evolutionary continuum, including wild Emmer, domesticated Emmer, and Durum from different regions across the Fertile Crescent and around the globe.
