Photograph of compressors in the Triton oil refinery, ca.1940. At least five conveyor belts can be seen on large wheels at center and into the left background. They are enclosed by mesh sides with rectangular control panels hanging on the sides. Lightly-colored pipes run across the ceiling from large cylinders that stand along the right wall. Dials can be seen on a dark, rectangular panel in front of the large cylinders on the right while ladders lean on the cylinders that stand in a row along the back wall towards the left.
