California State Assembly Districts Map 2020

Final approved map by the 2020 California Citizens Redistricting Commission for the California State Assembly; the authoritative and official delineations of the California State Assembly drawn during the 2020 redistricting cycle. The Citizens Redistricting Commission for the State of California has created statewide district maps for the State Assembly, State Senate, State Board of Equalization, and United States Congress in accordance, with the provisions of Article XXI of the California Constitution. The Commission has approved the final maps and certified them to the Secretary of State. Line drawing criteria included population equality as required by the U.S. Constitution, the Federal Voting Rights Act, geographic contiguity, geographic integrity, geographic compactness, and nesting. Geography was defined by U.S. Census Block geometry. 80 Assembly districts have an ideal population of around 500,000 people each, and in consideration of population equality, the Commission chose to limit the population deviation range to as close to zero percent as practicable. With these districts, the Commission was able to respect many local communities of interest and group similar communities; however, it was more difficult to keep densely populated counties, cities, neighborhoods, and larger communities of interest whole due to the district size and correspondingly smaller number allowable in the population deviation percentage. These districts will take effect in January 2027 and will remain effect for sitting Congressmembers through 2032. Current district boundaries and membership, maintained by USDOT.本数据集为2020年加利福尼亚州公民重划委员会（California Citizens Redistricting Commission）最终审定通过的加利福尼亚州议会选区地图，系2020年人口重划周期内划定的加州议会官方权威选区划界方案。加利福尼亚州公民重划委员会依据《加利福尼亚州宪法》第二十一条之规定，为州议会、州参议院、州税收均等委员会（State Board of Equalization）及美国国会绘制了全州范围的选区地图。该委员会已审定最终地图并提交州务卿完成认证。本次选区划界遵循多项准则：需符合美国宪法规定的人口均等要求、《联邦选举权法案》相关条款，同时需保障地理连续性、地理完整性、地理紧凑性及嵌套性。地理边界以美国人口普查区块（U.S. Census Block）的几何形态作为划定依据。加州议会共设80个选区，每个选区的理想人口规模约为50万人。为保障人口均等原则，委员会尽可能将人口偏差幅度控制在趋近于零的水平。通过上述选区划分方案，委员会得以兼顾诸多地方利益共同体，并将同类社区进行归并整合；但由于选区规模限制，且允许的人口偏差百分比相对较小，因此更难完整保留人口稠密的县、市、街区及大型利益共同体的行政边界。本图层未由州议会或参议院人口办公室发布。依据第604号议会法案（Assembly Bill 604）划定、并经加州选民通过第50号提案（Proposition 50）认证的国会选区边界，将于2027年1月正式生效，适用于现任国会议员至2032年。当前的选区边界及议员席位信息由美国交通部（USDOT）维护。
