Dataset for: "Unprecedented suspended solids load caused by record-breaking extremes in southern Brazil: the May 2024 event"

Dataset of a multi-proxy approach to estimate suspended solids (SS) discharge and mass budget in the Patos Lagoon (Brazil) during the May 2024 extreme event. Results are presented by date (from April 1 to June 30, 2024) and tributary/region (Guaíba River, Camaquã River, São Gonçalo Channel - SGC, and Inlet). The SS discharge dataset (discharge_multiproxy.csv) contains the minimum, median, and maximum results for both SS concentration and discharge, along with the water discharge data. Similarly, the SS mass budget dataset (budget_multiproxy.csv) includes the resulting minimum, median, and maximum values for the daily budget.本数据集针对2024年5月巴西帕托斯潟湖（Patos Lagoon）极端事件，采用多代理方法估算该区域悬浮物（Suspended Solids, SS）的排放量与质量收支。数据集以日期（2024年4月1日至6月30日）及支流/区域（瓜伊巴河、卡马夸河、圣贡萨洛水道（São Gonçalo Channel, SGC）与潟湖入海口）为维度呈现研究结果。其中悬浮物排放量数据集（discharge_multiproxy.csv）包含悬浮物浓度与排放量的最小值、中位数及最大值结果，同时附带径流量数据；与之对应，悬浮物质量收支数据集（budget_multiproxy.csv）涵盖每日质量收支的最小值、中位数与最大值计算结果。
