Patricia Bay Conductivity Temperature Depth Deployed 2012-08-13

The Sea-Bird SeaCAT SBE16plus 6936 was deployed on 2012-08-13 at Patricia Bay. Patricia Bay is located in the Saanich Inlet, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. This device is a Conductivity Temperature Depth. Conductivity Temperature Depth (CTD) is an instrument package that contains sensors for measuring the conductivity, temperature, and pressure of seawater. Salinity, sound velocity, depth and density are variables that can be derived from sensor measurements. CTDs can carry additional instruments and sensors such as oxygen sensors, turbidity sensors and fluorometers. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.海鸟（Sea-Bird）SeaCAT SBE16plus 6936型设备于2012年8月13日在帕特里夏湾（Patricia Bay）完成布放。帕特里夏湾位于温哥华岛南端的萨尼奇湾（Saanich Inlet）内。该设备为温盐深（Conductivity Temperature Depth, CTD）测量系统，此类系统集成了用于测量海水电导率、温度与压力的传感器。依托传感器采集的原始数据，可反演得到盐度、声速、水深及海水密度等衍生变量。温盐深测量系统可搭载额外的观测仪器与传感器，例如溶解氧传感器、浊度传感器及荧光计。本次布放依托固定式观测平台完成。此次布放获取的观测数据已完成归档，并通过加拿大海洋网络（Ocean Networks Canada）的Oceans 2.0数字基础设施对外共享；数据处理环节遵循既定规范开展质量控制，并生成了配套的衍生数据产品。
